In the roughly 85 days to July 19, 2026, Bing Webmaster Tools recorded roughly 9,900 times that AI answers linked FundBizPro as a source. Over the same period, Bing Site Explorer reported zero backlinks to the site, and Google sent 78 clicks. This page shows that data as reported, and the site changes we made before and during that window.

What the data suggests
Lender questions dominate. Loans & Mortgages accounts for 1,727 of the 2,991 tracked citations, and most of the top queries are about named lenders: Fora Financial, OnDeck, Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo. Many are “review” and “vs” questions, which an AI answers by pulling from several sources.
A citation isn't a click. The answer that cites a page often gives the reader what they needed on the spot, so we now track visits referred by AI assistants separately from citations.

The site was also changing during this period. Indexing fixes, a new sitemap, a deliberate two-week traffic throttle, a bot attack and a hosting move all overlap with this data. We can't separate their effects, so we don't claim any single change caused the citations.

These are the structural changes in the site's code history up to the end of the data window, by date. They show what was in place when the citations grew, not proof of what caused them.

- Six calculator pages given a plain-text formula, three worked examples, an FAQ, and SoftwareApplication + FAQPage structured data, so their content is readable without running the tool.
- Fixed the 404s, broken redirects and over-length titles that Bing Webmaster Tools reported.
- Nine new guides targeting keyword gaps found in Bing Webmaster data.
- Open Graph/Twitter metadata and breadcrumb structured data added across tool and landing pages.
Questions
What is an AI citation?
When an AI answer engine such as Microsoft Copilot answers a question, it links the web pages it used as sources. Bing Webmaster Tools counts each time one of your pages is linked that way as a citation. A citation is not a click: the reader may never visit the page.
Why are there two different citation totals?
Bing's AI Search report showed 2,991 citations across 128 tracked grounding queries, while its daily overview summed to about 9,900 citations over the same roughly 85-day window. They appear to cover different scopes. We show both, and treat the direction as reliable and the exact size as approximate.
Did FundBizPro really have zero backlinks?
Bing Site Explorer reported 0 backlinks for all 17 FundBizPro URLs it sampled at the time of the report (data through July 2026). That crawl predates the site moving to Cloudflare, so it is a snapshot, not a permanent count.
Does this prove AI engines ignore backlinks?
No. It shows one site being cited heavily while Bing reported no backlinks. The data can't show why, and several site changes overlapped in the same window. We describe what we built, not a proven cause.
